These terms are in place to ensure clarity, safety, and a smooth experience for both you and your dog.

Client Agreement, Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Julie’s Precious – New York

By booking services with Julie’s Precious, submitting payment, or leaving a pet in care, the client (“Owner”) confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.

1. Assumption of Risk

Owner understands that pet care involves inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, illness, injury, stress, behavioral incidents, medical emergencies, or death, even when pets are handled with the highest level of care.

Owner voluntarily assumes all risks associated with their pet’s participation in services provided by Julie’s Precious, including boarding, daycare, walking, structured handling, training reinforcement, transportation, and emergency care.

2. Limitation of Liability

Julie’s Precious agrees to provide attentive, responsible, and compassionate care at all times.

However, Julie’s Precious shall not be held liable for injury, illness, loss, or death of any pet, except in cases of proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Owner agrees that Julie’s Precious is not responsible for outcomes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • sudden illness or medical emergencies

  • pre-existing health conditions

  • stress-related reactions

  • accidents during normal activity or play

  • interactions between animals when appropriately supervised

  • unforeseeable events

3. Health & Behavior Disclosure

Owner certifies that their pet is:

  • in good general health

  • free from contagious illness

  • up to date on required vaccinations (as applicable)

Owner further certifies that all medical conditions, behavioral concerns, bite history, anxiety, reactivity, or special needs have been fully disclosed in writing prior to the stay.

Julie’s Precious is not responsible for incidents arising from undisclosed or misrepresented medical or behavioral conditions.

4. Veterinary Authorization

In the event of illness or injury, Owner authorizes Julie’s Precious to seek veterinary care at:

  • the Owner’s designated veterinarian, or

  • the nearest available veterinary facility if immediate care is required

All veterinary expenses, including treatment, transportation, and emergency care, are the sole responsibility of the Owner.

Julie’s Precious assumes no financial responsibility for veterinary or medical costs.

5. Emergency Situations

Owner understands that in emergency situations, decisions may need to be made quickly in the best interest of the pet’s health and safety. Owner agrees to hold Julie’s Precious harmless for reasonable decisions made in good faith during emergencies.

6. Personal Property

Julie’s Precious is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items provided with the pet, including but not limited to beds, toys, leashes, collars, harnesses, clothing, or accessories.

7. Photos & Media

Owner grants permission for Julie’s Precious to take photos and videos of their pet for:

  • care updates

  • documentation

  • website or social media use

Owner may opt out of promotional use by submitting a written request prior to the start of services.

8. Agreement & Acceptance

By booking services, submitting payment, or leaving a pet in care, Owner confirms agreement to all policies, including:

  • pricing

  • cancellation

  • boarding and daycare structure

  • emergency care

  • and this liability waiver

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York.
