About Me

Caring for animals has been the foundation of my life for more than three decades. What began in childhood grew naturally into a lifelong profession shaped by experience, responsibility, and an intuitive understanding of animal behavior.

I have worked closely with animals throughout my life, including dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, and small animals. My experience includes breeding high-standard Chinese Crested Dogs with a strong focus on temperament and health, many of whom are certified service dogs working in schools and hospitals alongside their handlers. I have also bred Norwegian Forest Cats, trained German Shepherds for professional K9 security and service roles, and operated a luxury, home-style dog hostel designed to provide calm, structure, and emotional safety.

I am a certified dog trainer, combining formal education with decades of hands-on experience. My work emphasizes clear communication, emotional regulation, and confidence-building rather than force or overstimulation.

During the COVID period, I worked extensively with rescue dogs adopted into the city who struggled to adjust to urban life. Noise, density, isolation, and disrupted routines proved overwhelming for many of these dogs. Through consistent structure, predictable environments, and individualized care, I helped numerous dogs stabilize, adapt, and become confident companions in their homes. This experience further refined my ability to support anxious and sensitive dogs in complex environments.

For the past six years, I have served discerning pet families in New York City who value discretion, continuity of care, and a higher standard of attention. This is not a side business or a temporary endeavor. It is my full-time profession and long-term commitment.

In addition to boarding and daycare, I provide worldwide luxury pet escort services for clients who require professional, attentive travel for their dogs. I accompany dogs either alongside their owners or independently, ensuring each journey is calm, well-managed, and handled with care from departure to arrival.

At Julie’s Precious Pawtel, dogs are treated as family. Each guest is welcomed into a calm, home-style environment where care is personal, attentive, and responsive to individual needs. When appropriate, dogs enjoy human-grade treats and gentle, supportive handling that helps them feel settled and secure. While formal training is not included, dogs naturally benefit from consistent routines, calm leadership, and clear communication throughout their stay. Many leave more relaxed, confident, and balanced simply from being immersed in a thoughtful, structured environment.

My work is grounded in patience, observation, and respect for each dog as an individual. Every environment I create is intentional, measured, and designed to support emotional well-being rather than stimulation.

Julie’s Precious Pawtel reflects this philosophy in every detail. It is a place where dogs are not rotated, overwhelmed, or managed in volume, but carefully welcomed, observed, and cared for with consistency and respect.
