Rules & Regulations
To ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all dogs and staff at Julie’s Precious, all clients are required to comply with the following rules and regulations.
Vaccinations
All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. The required vaccinations are:
-
DHLPP (Distemper)
-
Rabies
-
Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
It is the owner’s responsibility to provide written verification of vaccinations from the dog’s veterinarian prior to attendance and to submit updated records as future vaccinations are administered.
For the safety of all dogs in our care, Julie’s Precious cannot accept any dog without current required vaccinations.
Health
All dogs must be in good overall health. Owners must certify that their dog is free from any illness or condition that could potentially affect other dogs.
-
Dogs that have had a communicable illness within the last 30 days must provide veterinarian clearance before being admitted or readmitted.
-
If a dog is found to have fleas or ticks during care, the owner will be contacted and treatment will be administered at the owner’s expense. Treatment must be completed before the dog may return.
-
Flea and tick prevention is strongly recommended.
No flea or tick collars may be worn during daycare or boarding.
Behavior
All dogs must pass a behavioral assessment on their first day of enrollment.
Dogs must:
-
Be non-aggressive toward people and other dogs
-
Not display food or water bowl guarding behavior
Owners must certify that their dog has not shown aggressive or threatening behavior toward people or other animals.
If your dog requires behavioral support or training, this must be disclosed in advance and may be accommodated through daycare with training, subject to availability and additional fees.
Please note: while all play is supervised, dogs may occasionally sustain minor nicks or scratches as part of normal social interaction.
Age Requirements
Dogs and puppies of any age may attend Julie’s Precious provided they meet all behavioral and health criteria.
-
Puppies may attend before receiving their Rabies vaccine and before being spayed or neutered, provided these procedures are completed by six months of age.
